The young boy who was abandoned by his parents and hidden himself in a former military building, crossed a forest in which bears are actually living. Japan has two bear species: the brown bear- a rather small species and the black V collared bear. Both species are quite common in the forestall and mountainous regions of the northern parts of Japan.
The protection of the bear species is well arranged ad the species are well studied. Nevertheless Japanese bear parks have a negative reputation as these bear pits often accommodate several dozens of bears living under dramatic circumstances
